Winter Break is over and and we will be back in school tomorrow. My private lessons will resume on Saturday, as well. It was a great break for me and I hope it was great for all of you. I honestly have mixed feelings about the start of this new quarter. I am definitely sad to see the Christmas holiday season end. I loved the extra time with my family and friends…and food
But I am also excited about all of the upcoming things that I have planned with my curriculum this quarter.
What are your goals for the New Year?
Mine are to create a platform on the internet where I can communicate with not only my students, but other teachers, parents, and readers throughout the world. I think that what I do with my students is quite interesting and I think the creative process is something that needs to be captured – thus this blog! I will also be blowing the dust off of my youtube channel MrsRamsey.tv and regularly uploading videos of my talented students.
Tomorrow and Friday will be days of reviewing rules and procedures. After that I hope we will get right into some playing and singing. I know the students will be anxious to do that – I sure am!
Big thanks to Ms. Tice over at our Poly Campus for sharing some band music from her library with me today! We had a professional development with myself, Ms. Tice, and Mr. Green.
We had such a great time collaborating today….doesn’t it just look like we can hardly contain our happiness?
Smiles are so contagious….what a great way to begin a year…let’s keep them coming in 2013.
I hope it’s a blessed year for you and yours.
Keep groovin’,
Mrs. Ramsey
